Southern Edge Dance Center is conveniently located in Fairhope, across the street from Thomas Hospital, behind Pizza Hut. We offer numerous classes to give the students a variety of dance styles. Our positive and fun environment helps them to excel in their dance education.
In order for the Southern Edge Dance Center to run smoothly and efficiently, there are certain regulations that all students and parents need to be aware of before enrollment. To create an ideal environment, we need you to help us by complying with certain rules. They are as follows:
- Class will begin on time. Please be on time to drop off and pick up your child. We cannot be responsible to baby sit. Arrive 5-10 minutes before class and dressed ready to dance.
- We encourage all students to use the restroom before their class.
- All students much wear proper attire to each dance class. (See Dress Codes)
- If a student is unable to attend, please notify the front desk. Either inform us ahead of time if you know that you have a schedule conflict, or call the studio in the event of illness.
- Students are expected to respect the teacher, classmates and the property. Teachers may ask students to wait in the lobby if they are being disruptive and disrespectful.
- Only water is allowed in the studio. No other drink, food or gum is permitted in the classroom.
- Place your name on all belongings. Southern Edge Dance Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Students will be placed in a class that is most appropriate for them. Dancers will only be moved to another class if the teacher feels it is in the student’s best interest.
- If your child is allowed to go home with someone not on the “Allowed Pick Up” sheet, please notify the front desk.
- Only students and instructor(s) are allowed in the studio during class time unless special arrangements have been made. We offer a special “Watch Week” for parents to observe classes in December.
